Penn State vs Michigan Preview

Coming off a much needed bye week, James Franklin and his team look to rebound off what was a poor performance against Northwestern. Quarterback Christian Hackenberg got a week off from all the hits he's been taking. Brady Hoke and his team are coming off a loss on the road to Rutgers  but that might be the least of their worries. Hoke is on the hottest of hot seats after a less than ideal start to the season. In house rumblings say that Hoke might not make it to the next game if Michigan can't get the win at home under the lights against Penn State. It's the first Big Ten night game in the Big House and Michigan should be hungry after a 4 overtime loss in Happy Valley last year. Both teams have questions with their offensive line so whichever unit can give their quarterback time should win, but nothing is safe in college football. In order for Penn State to get the road win they'll need to establish or at least find their ground game. If they can do that and Hackenberg has time to throw he should be able to exploit a weak Michigan secondary. Night games always seems to provide a unique storyline and this year is no different  if Penn State can get any ground game going it could be a long night for the Wolverines.

Look for Penn State to at least try and establish something on the ground. If not, look for Hackenberg to find his top two targets in Geno Lewis and Daesean Hamilton. Penn State goes on the road and brings back the win 24-13.
